MS Outlook uses the Outlook.pst file to store your emails and other data items such as calendars, tasks, notes, and much more. The only way to resolve the above-mentioned issue is to copy the .pst file from the CD-ROM and save it to a hard disk or to some other type of media. Now you can easily remove the Read Only file property.
In order to remove the Read Only file property, you must take up the following steps:
1.Right-click the Outlook.pst file.
2.Click the Properties.
3.Click to clear the Read Only check box.
4.Click the Ok button.
